2019 NFL rewind: 10 big takeaways from Titans vs Browns

6. Sharif Finch

Stop me if you have heard me say this before, but I have no idea why Sharif Finch isn’t still with the Tennessee Titans.

If he was injured then put him on IR, but for the Titans to release him was crazy as evidenced by this game. Finch had a sack and was clearly their second-best EDGE on rushing downs behind Harold Landry.

On top of that, he played 70% of the special teams reps, so it wasn’t like he wasn’t a valuable player to the team.

What makes it even more frustrating is that he was so cheap and I understand that by the end of the year they basically replaced him on the depth chart with Derick Roberson who is another UDFA, but there is nothing wrong with having two cheap, talented EDGEs to back up your starters.

Hopefully we see more of him down the line, but this game was a reminder of the good things that Finch could do when healthy.
