9. Cameron Wake’s impact

It is an absolute shame that Cameron Wake couldn’t stay healthy this season.

Just focusing on what he did for the Titans, I can honestly say that I have never seen a Titans player whose first two steps could eat as much grass as Wake’s and it all happened so quickly. Despite his age he was a true speed rusher worth a contract and he showed that with his 2.5 sack day.

Even more important was that he made everyone else better around him from the defensive tackles to the opposite EDGE, and that is an element that I have rarely seen in Tennessee.

Hopefully, the Titans see that Derick Roberson has the potential to be someone whose speed is disruptive like Wake’s was, and they allow him and Landry to rush straight upfield and force the QB to step into a pocket muddied by Jeffery Simmons and Daquan Jones.

Going back and watching what he did to the Browns offensive line in just a handful of snaps is a treat and if you want to see him break 100 sacks while also getting a safety, I highly recommend it.
