Darren Perry

Breer says:

"Darren Perry: The ex-NFL safety has 16 seasons of coaching experience at that level, working with defensive backs, and is steeped in the old Steeler system, having worked for years with Dick LeBeau and Dom Capers."

Again, it is shocking what a small world the NFL turns into when your head coach is a former player. First though, it is important to note that Darren Perry is a former safety who has experience coaching with Dick LeBeau who was a big influence on (the best safety in the league) Kevin Byard.

The other big thing is that Perry actually played with Mike Vrabel for two seasons in Pittsburgh, and we have seen how much Vrabel loves familiarity in his coaching staff.

Again, DB is the one position that has enough cooks in the kitchen, but there are so many connections that I had to bring this one up as a possibility.
