Where do the Titans stand?

The Tennessee Titans have shown interest in Jadeveon Clowney since the beginning of the offseason, and for good reason. Head coach Mike Vrabel has ties to the free agent all the way back to his days back in Houston.

Seemingly, there should be interest both ways between Clowney and the Titans, especially when you look back and see that he put up his best numbers while playing under Mike Vrabel.

"Vrabel, undoubtedly, has much to say about Clowney – who he often refers to as ‘JD’ – based on their time as coach and player with the Houston Texans. Most notably, Clowney’s best NFL season to date was 2017, the one year Vrabel served as Texans defensive coordinator. via David Boclair of SI.com"

The Tennessee Titans have been linked several times to Clowney. Their interest has been known several times throughout the offseason, and GM Jon Robinson even stated that they had been into contact with his agents. The Titans have seemingly been in the mix every time that rumors of offers get discussed. Despite that, there have been no concrete reports that the former South Carolina star has any more interest in the Tennessee Titans than he does in any other team.

At least, that was the case until Pauline mentioned the teams rumored to be in his top-two,  but the Titans are not on that list. Clowney has stated he wants to play with a contender in 2020 but he might want to stay out of the AFC so that he doesn’t have to deal with Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson.
