Larrell Murchison

While Mack has a good chance to land that job, don’t sleep on rookie Larrell Murchison. The former NCST defensive lineman doesn’t jump off the page as a good pass rusher, but then you look at his stats and he had 4 sacks in 2018 then 7 in 2019.

Murchison seems to be a guy who is constantly striving to be better and who gets those results, and that isn’t just based on the numbers. You can see on film that he is going full speed at all times and that he has an excellent motor, it’s that effort that makes him intriguing.

The Titans play so many reps on 3rd down where they choose to drop 8 and it very rarely works. However, if it is going to work then a huge part of that is finding three pass rushers who aren’t going to give up after their first two seconds. I believe that Murchison can play at that level.

Imagine Murchison as this generation’s version of Karl Klug, a third-down DL that comes in and either wins with initial quickness or later in the down with good effort. Despite not having a great arsenal of moves, Murchison is just so relentless that he is likely to find a hole in your offensive line eventually and once that happens he is going to really affect your offense.
