Pittsburgh Steelers – Eric Ebron

The Pittsburgh Steelers offseason has been about as uneventful as the Titans. Mostly due to the fact that, much like the Titans, they have their own guys that they’re spending all of their money on. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Bringing back guys like Derek Watt and Bud Dupree was a smart move by the Steelers front office.

Ben Roethlisberger is coming up on what could easily be his last season. He has an all star defense behind him and all he needs is some talented weapons and he’s got a chance to make one last run.

So the Steelers go out and get uber athletic tight end Eric Ebron. Now Big Ben has JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington, Eric Ebron, and Vance McDonald to throw the ball to. It’s not the most lucrative set of weapons but it is definitely serviceable for Roethlisberger.

All in all, the Steelers are much like the Titans in that they didn’t reach out much into the talent pool of free agency. But when they did they grabbed a guy that could immediately improve their roster and put them in a better position for the upcoming season. Both teams seem to be much bigger on investing in the talent they already have, which could be a very valuable thing with COVID-19 messing up NFL offseasons.
