Minnesota Vikings – Michael Pierce

It seems the Minnesota Vikings may have gotten a bit terrified when they caught wind that they might have to play the Titans in 2020. Their biggest free agency addition has been run-stuffing DT Michael Pierce. Looks like someone might have a small case of Henry-phobia.

It makes sense that the Vikings added a big guy to crowd the middle of their defensive line since they have released Linval Joseph. Pierce has been coming on strong as one of the best run stuffers in the league. So as long as he can keep his weight under control he will probably be a good addition on the Vikings defense.

Their next best DT is Armon Watts, who is young and does have some potential, but adding Michael Pierce was probably a good move. The only issue is that they must have not seen what King Henry did to the Baltimore Ravens last season.

Regardless, Pierce will help the Vikings against normal human beings, but when it comes to Derrick Henry they might need a lot more to stop the run.

The Minnesota Vikings and Michael Pierce agreed to a 3-year deal worth $27 million, which is $6 million more than Titans DT Daquan Jones.
