Denver Broncos – Melvin Gordon

The Denver Broncos added to their running back room of Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman by signing Melvin Gordon this offseason. Phillip Lindsay is sneaky good, but Royce Freeman has never really been able to get where he needs to be production-wise. Melvin Gordon is seemingly a good addition that will add a different style to what Phillip Lindsay already has going in Denver.

I think that when used together, Lindsay and Gordon can become a terrifying duo in the backfield.

Gordon didn’t have his most productive season in 2019 after holding out until week 5 as running backs are prone to doing nowadays. It seemed that missing all of training camp and preseason hurt him since he was only able to finish one game with more than 100 yards rushing.

The Broncos also added G Graham Glasgow, but I believe Melvin Gordon will turn around his 2019 performance and have a bigger impact than Glasgow.

Luckily, the Tennessee Titans don’t seem to have issues containing Melvin Gordon. If you need to be reminded of that, check out the goal-line stand vs the Chargers last season.
