“Half” Titans
So I haven’t talked about it yet, but there is a reason that the title of this article isn’t “6 Titans on ESPN’s All-Decade list for the AFC South” and that is because there are three players on here who played for the Titans, but probably didn’t have their best years with the team.
Those players are: Ben Jones, Andre Johnson and Johnathan Joseph.
You can make a strong argument that Jones should be on the other list, but the fact is that Johnson had one big play and Joseph hasn’t taken a snap with the team, so it all averages out.
Jones has been a stud for the Titans and aside from the 2018 season where injuries plagued the OL and a massive overhaul was needed, he was one of the best free-agent pickups by Tennessee in this decade.
Andre Johnson only really did one thing for the Titans, but that one thing was pretty special. His only memorable moment is a late 4th quarter touchdown catch thrown by Marcus Mariota on 4th down. The play sealed the game for the Tennessee Titans and the win over Detroit made it seem like this was the start of something better for the Titans.
Hopefully, Joseph’s impact is more of a coach on the sideline and a mentor in the film room rather than someone who has to go out and try to shut down receivers. But, regardless of the capacity, he is technically a Tennessee Titans player right now so I included him.
