Names to keep an eye on

So, now we have the motive for why the Philadelphia Eagles would want to trade for Nate Davis instead of signing another guard, letting backups fight for the job, or trading for another name.

We also know why the Titans would be so willing to trade away an ascending player on a rookie contract. At least, we know that if we assume that they sign Larry Warford and if they get the right trade offer.

What we don’t know is who could be moved in a potential trade. Who are the names that make the most sense? And if you are an Eagles fan, just know that the Titans have 9 picks in next year’s draft including an extra third round pick, so if you are on the fence just pretend Tennessee throws in a pick as well.

Anyway, these are the names that stand out as targets for the Titans here, in no order:

Desean Jackson, WR (plus a pick)

-The Tennessee Titans need a talented WR4/speed option and as much as I like Kalif Raymond, I’m not saying no to Jackson.

Derek Barnett, EDGE

-Former Tennessee Vols star EDGE who is liked in the building, but who has had sort of a Jadeveon Clowney-like career. I have always been enamored with the idea of seeing him come back to Nashville where he was born and raised, just to watch him dominate for the Titans.

Alshon Jeffery, Malik Jackson, or Josh Sweat, as long as the Eagles send a pick with them

-WR and DT both need depth help in an ideal world, and Josh Sweat is an interesting high upside player to potentially replace Kamalei Correa and Vic Beasley in 2021. Regardless, all these players have injury risks and would have to include a pick being sent back to the Titans.
