How the Titans could adapt

The Tennessee Titans are oddly uniquely equipped to deal with a trade like this. I don’t agree with this at all, but the Titans have shown in the past that they like Jamil Douglas enough to keep him on the roster despite being spun like a turnstile vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If I had to guess which offensive linemen the Titans thought they were going to enter the season with right now I would say:

OT: Taylor Lewan, Dennis Kelly, David Quessenberry

iOL: Rodger Saffold, Ben Jones, Nate Davis, Jamil Douglas

Flex: Isaiah Wilson (rookie)

That is eight guys right there and that seems like a solid number. You may notice that I mentioned Isaiah Wilson as a “flex” well, that is because I think he is going to have to eventually kick inside at the next level because he just doesn’t show the athleticism to win outside.

But, let’s say the Titans just want to train Wilson at offensive tackle as a rookie. Cool, the Titans also have $20 million left in cap space this year as well as $45 million in cap space next year, so if push comes to shove they could go out and sign Larry Warford.
