The next step

It is hard to win a lot of games in the NFL if your locker room isn’t together and if your on-the-field leaders aren’t setting the tone for their teammates.

The next step for both of these players is to go out and do just a little bit more than what they have done in the past.

Understand, this isn’t me slandering Henry or Evans who are still rising in the NFL. What I am saying is, can they do more?

For Derrick Henry, the league and his teammates are already inspired by his amazing work ethic, his toughness and his play on the field. Now can he take that next little step and start to have those amazing games in September or October instead of just November and December?

Evans has been a force and going back and watching this season again really shows you how much better he was in 2019 at dissecting plays and instantly knowing what his job was. All the talent and opportunity is there for him to be a successful pass rusher in the NFL and you can clearly see that in his college tape. The question for Evans is can he start to win those reps consistently and become the “slash” player that he was at Alabama?

The sky is the limit for these two and I think the Titans really want them both to be a big part of the team for a long time. Now, can the Titans most feared players on both sides of the ball do a little more and help turn Tennessee into title contenders?
