Not their first connection

Derrick Henry and Rashaan Evans weren’t both just from Alabama, they two were actually teammates in 2014 and 2015 and won a Championship together in Derrick Henry’s final season.

For some players that might not mean anything because being teammates doesn’t always guarantee a friendship outside of the game, but Jim Wyatt (who seems to be there for all the big moments between these two) captured something incredible on draft night:

The two both entered the league in the same way, high picks with exceptional college resumes who had to wait a little while for their turn to be the unquestioned starters. The parallels continued though as both took off when they got their chances and arguably are on their way to be better players in the NFL than they were in college.
