Poetic Justice

Alabama is one of the most prolific football factories in the history of the NCAA, but shockingly they have only had two Heisman winners. And who are those two? You guessed it (or read the title) Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry.

Those two missed the chance to play on the same team in college, but there is no reason for them to miss out on it in the NFL.

Both running backs complement each other very well with Mark Ingram being the tough pinball who requires physicality and effort to bring down and Derrick Henry being the big-play machine who makes his money off of broken defenses who are worn out after playing a physical game.

Throw in Darrynton Evans and you have the perfect trio of running backs for a team that likes to assert their dominance over teams by running the ball and then punishing defenses by running play-action if they can’t stop the run with only seven men.

Tennessee is home to the biggest portion of Alabama fans in the nation and having Ingram and Henry together would be a great way to get the fans very invested in this team if they weren’t already.

That alone isn’t enough to make the move, but when you consider the personality of the staff and the players in this locker room you have to appreciate what a great fit it would be to get Ingram to Tennessee.
