2. Daquan Jones

This one may seem strange, but Jones is a huge piece on the defense this year.

In his second contract with the Titans, Jones has done the dirty work and help set everyone around him up for success. Jurrell Casey, Jayon Brown, Rashaan Evans, Jeffery Simmons, Harold Landry, the list goes on and all of these players benefited from playing around Jones in 2019. PFF even gave him a shoutout as the Titans most underrated player in 2019.

The Titans made a big decision moving on from Jurrell Casey, but they did it with the idea that the defensive line was in good hands with Jones and Simmons ready to start. His leadership and experience are going to be desperately needed on a defensive line with plenty of talent (Simmons, Isaiah Mack, Larrell Murchison) but with very few starts.

If he has another strong season this year, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Titans lock him down for a long stretch because strong anchors on the defensive line don’t get old quickly and a veteran presence is needed there at the right price.
