3. Kevin Byard

The moment that Kevin Byard picked off Dak Prescott on Monday Night Football and ran the ball back to the star at midfield, I knew that Byard would become the heartbeat of the Titans defense.

Since then all Byard has done is become one of the best and most consistent safeties in the NFL and he has gotten paid like it. The Mayor is amazing and has undoubtedly become a leader from his on the field efforts alone.

However, going into 2020 the Titans are going to need to really focus on communication in the secondary with both Kerry Coombs and Logan Ryan gone. Kevin Byard is going to have to be the voice of that secondary and he has to help young guys like Adoree Jackson and Kristian Fulton find their voices too.

There should be no doubt that Byard will play at a high level and that he will help this team win games next year, but beyond that, it would be great to see him help the younger players in his unit keep up the level of play that was established when Coombs and Ryan were around.
