How do the Rams look?

At the end of the day, the Rams ultimately made all those trades to get up to draft Jared Goff which is good I guess because that is all that the team has four years later.

The front office doubled-down on this decision by giving Jared Goff a massive contract and are now locked into the quarterback for the foreseeable future. A big reason why they made the commitment is because of another change that happened to the team after this draft.

After a brutal 2016 season, the Rams fired Jeff Fisher and hired one of the most exceptional new coaches of the decade in Sean McVay.

Under McVay the Rams quickly became one of the most potent offenses in the NFL building around Todd Gurley and a passing game that heavily featured Cooper Kupp in the slot.

Time and injuries, as well as depleted draft classes, have hurt the Rams and now it feels like the public opinion could shift on Sean McVay if he can’t find a way to make this team work this season.

Still, it looks like this trade could ultimately net the Rams one of the best offensive minds in football as well as an above average-ish QB. That tandem got them to a Super Bowl once and at the end of the day they have shown that they can reach incredible highs even though the lows can be rough.
