5. Week 4 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Entertainment Factor: 7.5/10

Drama: 6/10

Season Importance: 6/10

This was the game where we thought everything was starting to click on offense, and by God was it beautiful.

Derrick Henry broke the 100-yard mark on the ground for the first time all season, Atlanta failed to record a single sack, and AJ Brown played like a man possessed en route to the first AND second receiving touchdowns of his career. Meanwhile, Marcus Mariota went full-on ‘Vintage 2016’ mode with accuracy, sharp pocket presence,  and THREE first-half passing touchdowns.

Not that Atlanta presented the greatest defensive threat in the NFL, but after a combined three touchdowns in two low-scoring losses to AFC South Rivals, the first-half offensive explosion was nothing short of beautiful. And not only was it fun to watch, but it got the Titans back to .500 after winning their Week One game against the Cleveland Browns (more on that later) and then dropping two straight winnable games against two less-than-good teams in the Colts and Jaguars.

I struggled with whether to pick this game or the Week 14 scoring-extravaganza against the Oakland Raiders– but landed here on the Falcons win for one big reason. This game was so much fun to watch because of how unexpected the offensive production was. By the Raiders game, Tennessee had been putting points on everyone, but when we all got to tune in for Week Four to see the Titans moving the ball at will after scoring just seven points the game before, it was a breath of fresh air.
