Jeffery Simmons, RE

Jeffery Simmons received a 7.00 prospect grade from NFL.com which grades him as a Pro Bowl talent. NFL analyst Lance Zierlein said this about Simmons,

"“Impressive physical specimen offering rare combination of strength and athleticism for future dominance in a variety of defensive schemes.”"

Simmons’s ACL injury led to his fall down draft boards and eventually him landing with Titans at 19th overall. Jeffery Simmons is an exceptional talent and the Titans cashed in grabbing him so late in the first round. Luckily the Titans had a very strong interior defensive line last season that did not force Simmons to come back early from injury. Although he made a ridiculously fast recovery, Simmons did not return until fully healed and that definitely paid off.

Seeing Simmons put in work for a full season will be a sight to see. Bleacher Report listed Simmons as one of the NFL’s breakout stars for next season.

"“With an offseason to prepare while healthy, he could become a solid interior pass-rusher and a huge obstacle for opposing ground attacks.”"

Bleacher Report’s stat projection for Big Jeff next season is “58 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles.”
