4. Seattle Seahawks

Biggest issue: Resources committed to EDGE already

Player hurt the most: L.J. Collier

Clowney is on record now saying that he would like to sign with the Seattle Seahawks because he likes the coaches and the locker room, but how much do we really believe that?

At this point, you have to assume that his agent and the Seahawks have had extended conversations for months and months about a potential deal this offseason.

Not only that, but they would have front row seats to his health, which is presumably the biggest reason why he is still on the market. Yet despite all of that inside info and additional time they had to make their move, the Seahawks have gone the opposite way signing multiple free agent EDGEs and trading up to draft Darrell Taylor in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

It is still possible that they sign him again, but it would just be a waste of assets for a team that has plenty of needs elsewhere and the timing just doesn’t add up.
