Why the Bengals?

The Cincinnati Bengals just drafted the hottest name in college football in Joe Burrow, the Heisman winning QB who just led his team to an undefeated season and a national championship.

Why would a team that did that be willing to trade anything away?

Well, in large part because to get Burrow, the Bengals had to have the worst record in the NFL on a roster filled with some disgruntled players. Whether it is cutting starting left tackle/left guard Cordy Glenn or not giving A.J. Green the respect he deserves, the Bengals haven’t exactly looked like a team that players would love to join.

Defensively, the Bengals don’t really have anyone to point to and fall in love with and that didn’t change this offseason.

Sure, they have some true stalwarts on that defensive front (which I will talk about shortly) but which players under 30 are above average?

The Titans have seen this before because Jon Robinson was part of a team that took the step forward from 5 wins in two years, to 9 wins in one season in his first year as a GM. He knows how long a project takes and this is a big project.

Knowing that, the Titans and Bengals should both be on the same page in terms of who should be buyers and who should be sellers.

Which players should the Titans be looking at closely?
