Potentially the final update in the Jadeveon Clowney saga before he signs with a team.

The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone and now it is Clowney Day for one team in the NFL. Or at least, we think it is.

Today of course is the day when (at 4 P.M. EST) Jadeveon Clowney will no longer count against the compensatory formula for NFL teams.

If his market was ever going to “heat up” now is the time since forward-thinking teams can now sign free agents with no damage to those valuable compensatory picks. This could be HUGE for the Titans, especially when you consider how their draft went down. I’ll talk about that more in another post, for now, it is time to look at three teams that seemed to be competing for Clowney before the draft and where they stand now.

Well…maybe three is giving the Browns too much credit.

For all the bluster it seems like the Cleveland Browns don’t have any interest in Jadeveon Clowney at this point, though they didn’t draft an EDGE in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans are the only teams on record currently who are still entertaining Jadeveon Clowney conversations in the media, so it appears to be down to those two.

So where does everything stand and who has the most to gain? Let’s take one last look before the deadline.
