Round 7 Pick 224: QB Cole McDonald

Breaking News: The Titans have another QB from Hawaii on the roster.

McDonald is built like a pro-style QB. McDonald threw for at least 3800 yards and 30 in both of his seasons as a starter for the Rainbow Warriors. One of his main weaknesses was accuracy, and he often struggled when asked to throw deep downfield.

It had been speculated the Titans would use an earlier pick to address QB, but other needs were more pressing. If history has taught us anything, it’s that more than likely, whoever is the Titans backup QB will most likely have to play at some point this season.

Logan Woodside is currently the only QB other than Tannehill on the roster, so McDonald should have every opportunity to win the backup job.

Still wish the Titans drafted a receiver, but once again, this is technically another area of need that was addressed.
