7. Curtis Weaver EDGE, Boise State

On film, I get why Weaver has dropped so far. He is stiff and doesn’t have exceptional burst off of the line of scrimmage. However, like Sam Hubbard a few years ago he is a guy whose testing screams future above-average starter.

Think about this, as a 3 year starter Weaver has never had a season where he didn’t have 10 sacks or at least 13 TFLs. On top of that, at the NFL Combine he ran a 7.00s 3-cone despite weighing 265 lb. which is very impressive.

I wouldn’t mind taking a flier on him in the 5th if he is still there just to see if Vrabel can find a role for him.

6. Bryce Hall CB, Virginia

If you exclude his final season which he missed more than half of due to injury, Hall had 6.5 TFLs, 3 sacks, 3 FF, 3 INTs, and 34 PBUs over his final two seasons and looked like a future CB1/2 at the next level.

Again, I don’t love the idea of a CB that probably can’t play in the slot but value is value on Day 3 and this could be a pick that ends up saving the Titans tens of millions of dollars and/or a first round pick down the road if he pans out.
