61. Jacob Eason QB, Washington

"Quality backup option behind Tannehill who has a big arm and offers the potential for more in the future."

93. Cam Dantzler CB, Mississippi State

"No analysis given"

Again, I can’t stress enough how little I like the idea of drafting backups at 61. For anyone saying that you can’t find starters there, let me remind you of some players that went between picks 62 and 92 last year alone: Juan Thornhill, DK Metcalf, Diontae Johnson, Terry McLaurin, Chase Winovich, and Nate Davis.

As for Dantzler, I like the player and I like the position. His major red flag is his abysmal 4.64 40-yard dash, but if you believe his Pro Day (you shouldn’t) then he is actually closer to a 4.4 athlete.

Either way drafting Dantzler would mean that you need to be aggressive with his length and try to get him up and press receivers instead of playing so much off coverage. If the Titans did that then I would be on board.

Not a great mock because of the wasted potential at 61, but ultimately I have seen worse and at the very least they are positions of need even though they should have at least flip-flopped the order here.
