7. Yetur Gross-Matos EDGE, Penn State

You know how you attach yourself to some prospects early in the draft because you think you see something in them and then everyone else catches up? It looks like that is what is happening with Yetur Gross-Matos who I have had as EDGE2 since the middle of last season.

This is the most clear tweet I can find proving it, but go through my Twitter and search @jlomas72 “YGM” and you can see the proof.

Enough patting on the back, let’s focus on YGM.

The Penn State star was an absolute house wrecker and not just as a pass rusher where he did manage18 sacks in the last two seasons, but in his TFL numbers where he had a whopping 35 in that same span.

At 6’5 265 lb., you can see why people like him a lot as a 1st round EDGE now and he is the only EDGE in this class who is projected to go outside of the top-2 that has an extended body of work that says 1st round talent and who also didn’t bomb their athletic testing.

As the Big 10’s “other” star EDGE, he never got the attention he should have, but if YGM was playing for Florida they would be singing his name and hanging banners.
