Dianna Russini report

The cherry on top of all of this is that it looks like we have a clear leader, at least according to Dianna Russini of ESPN.

"“The closer we’ve been getting to the draft the more I just feel like Seattle just isn’t into it as much. GM Jon Robinson down in Nashville spoke about it yesterday actually and said we are going to wait for this draft to go through, see how it shakes out and see who we can get…if you are going to ask me where to predict where he winds up then it will probably be Tennessee.”"

If this is all true, it would confirm a lot about what we suspect about the Jadeveon Clowney sweepstakes:

-It is likely a two-team race between the Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks.

-There always could be a third team, though it is most likely down to those two at this point.

-The Titans are the presumed favorite.

-Things have cooled with Seattle to the point of almost ambivalence.

All that would bode well for the Titans and if they could sure up their assumptions before the 2020 NFL Draft it would be huge for the team.

Again, cornerback would almost have to be the pick if all of this were true and it could even mean that the Titans could cross a need off of their big board.

Let’s say the Titans have a plan that they want to get EDGE, CB and OT off the board in the top-100 picks in the draft. Well now they could scratch EDGE off of the board before the draft and potentially trade up for one of the other two options.

The ripple effect would be huge and I hope it happens so that we can all see what the offseason looks like as a whole for the Titans after the draft.
