Are the Cleveland Browns still involved with Jadeveon Clowney?

We aren’t that far removed from the Cleveland Browns being the hot name to bring up when talking about potential Jadeveon Clowney landing spots. However, just a few weeks later and it is absolute radio silence from the Browns.

This could be a case of the team with the most cap space in the NFL getting impulsive and making an offer to a quality EDGE as they tried to limit the scope of their draft board. It would make sense considering the weakness in this draft class at EDGE and how long the Browns would have to wait if we assume that they go after offensive line in the first round.

It seems a lot like the Browns may have been the last team in and the first team out for Clowney who has decided to wait and play it patiently which has never been something that the Browns have thrived doing.

At this point I wouldn’t expect a move from the Browns until well after the draft and even then it would have to be contingent on them not getting an EDGE in the top-100.
