Who could be interested?

Forgetting money as the issue for a second, just how popular would Ngakoue be if he was a free agent? Well, according to the Pro Football Network’s draft simulator these are the teams that need EDGE in order of priority:

1st tier

-New England Patriots

-Pittsburgh Steelers

-New York Giants

-Seattle Seahawks

2nd tier

-Buffalo Bills

-Baltimore Ravens

-Cleveland Browns

-Detriot Lions

-Tennessee Titans

-Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Those are just the teams that still have EDGE as the first or second biggest need on their board. This doesn’t include teams with EDGE as a need further down or teams that filled that need in free agency.

So ultimately does a move get made? I don’t know. However, it is in everyone’s best interest if something happens and Ngakoue is right to make noise about it because this should be getting as much attention as a potential Jadeveon Clowney signing.

Ngakoue is a young pass rusher who has real star potential, but Jacksonville controls his future for the next two years with no plans to be attached to him long term. If a trade happens soon it is probably because Ngakoue stirred the pot to stop the conversations from going stagnant.
