Scenario: Jordan Love falls
Right now, one of the big questions in the 2020 NFL Draft is where will Jordan Love land? The reason this is such a big issue is that you really need to have a quarterback in place that you believe in to manage the team for a year.
Even if you don’t have that in place, you have to have something passable or job security because if you put him in too quickly he will fall back into the same mistakes that he made as a senior and you won’t have a chance to figure out how to put him in a position to succeed at the next level.
The Chargers give him that chance and as I have written before, there are plenty of people who think that they will forgo QB in the top-10 this year.
What trade makes sense:
L.A. Chargers get: 1st round pick (29), 3rd (93), 5th (174)
Tennessee Titans get: 2nd (37), 3rd (71), 4th (112)
The Titans lose their first round pick and a fifth round pick, but in exchange, they get an extra second round pick and a fourth round. Also, there is a 3rd round pick swap that would also really help give the Titans a chance at finding another impact starter.
