To say the Tennessee Titans revolving door of kickers in 2019 was terrible, would be an understatement.

The Titans as a team had the lowest success rate on field goal tries since 1952. Yeah, it was that bad.

Ryan Succop was released, and currently Greg Joseph is the only kicker on the roster. However, Joseph won’t simply be handed the job, as Jon Robinson stated that competition would be brought in.

Rodrigo Blankenship would be a wise choice. Blankenship, a Lou Groza award winner, has been one of the most consistent college kickers in recent memory. Blankenship ended his college career with an 82.5% success rate on field goal tries.

I am not a fan of spending draft picks on kickers, but they’re just wasn’t much else on the board here, and Blankenship is worth a pick. Not only would he provide Greg Joseph with some competition, I believe he could end up being the Titans’ kicker of the future.
