61. DL. Pick Analysis. Alabama. RaekwonDavis. player. 829. Scouting Report

After adding a starter at cornerback in the first round, the Tennessee Titans need to keep an eye out on a player who could help fortify the front seven.

The massive 6’7 Raekwon Davis is the selection here.

Davis would fit as a nose tackle in a 3-4 defense, slotting in the middle of Daquan Jones and Jeffery Simmons. Speaking of Simmons, there are similarities between him and Davis.

For one, they are both highly-touted defensive lineman from the SEC. They both have quick hands, and both are capable of completely overpowering lesser guards.

An elite nose tackle is something the Titans have seemingly always lacked, and Davis could finally be that guy. Davis is not a guy who will put up big numbers in the sack department, but he would open things up a bit for Simmons.

And even though they don’t have the same pros and cons, selecting Davis would go along way to making up for the loss of Jurrell Casey. With Davis and Simmons, the Titans have two building blocks on the defensive line.

Two rounds through, and we’ve added two starting-caliber players at two of the weakest positions on the team.
