2020 NFL Draft: Top 5 cornerbacks worth a top pick to Tennessee Titans
By John Lowell

Round Projection: Mid – Late 1st
It’s been an arduous road for LSU CB Kristian Fulton, a college career full of injury and scandal. In 2016, Fulton was reportedly caught using someone else’s sample for a random drug test from the NCAA. The former Tiger was suspended for 19 months and missed his Sophomore season after only playing in three games as a Freshman.
He failed to play an entire season until his senior year, in which he finally lived up to the hype as the #1 recruit out of Louisiana in 2015. Fulton’s athletic profile and skill set are worthy of a first-round selection at cornerback.
Fulton defends a full route-tree and can plant and explode out of cuts with the best of them. He has elite timing and tied for the nation’s lead with 20 forced incompletions in 2019. While you would like to see his ball skills and interception numbers (2) elevated, Fulton was injured for much of his career and targeted less because opposing quarterbacks feared his side of the field.
Fulton could be the second cornerback selected after Ohio State’s CB Jeffrey Okudah, but if somehow he falls to the Titans, they would land a steal in round one. His injury history and off the field issues could facilitate a slide.
