2nd Round Picks
In terms of selecting playmakers, the second round has been Robinson’s bread and butter.
Thanks to the Rams, the Titans were able to add Kevin Dodd, Austin Johnson, and Derrick Henry all in the 2nd round of the 2016 draft.
Dodd proved to be a colossal bust, and Austin Johnson never lived up to his draft status either. But as mentioned early, no GM hits 100% of his picks.
The third second-rounder that year more than made up for the failures of the other two. At the time, the selection of Derrick Henry was questionable, due to the presence of Demarco Murray on the roster. This proved to be a smart pick nonetheless, because four years later, and Henry is arguably the best running back in the league.
Henry was the rushing champ in 2019 and is an invaluable piece to this Titans team.
Other second-round picks are Harold Landry III and AJ Brown: two more vital pieces on this team. Landry led the team in sacks in 2019, and Brown led all rookies in receiving yards with 1,051. Two more phenomenal picks, but neither had as much of an impact as Henry.
Without Henry, this team probably doesn’t make the playoffs in 2019. Henry is the best second-round pick of Robinson, but he has some competition.
Best 2nd round pick: King Henry
