New England Patriots

Position taken: EDGE

New England may be the only team on this list who can take a player that the Tennessee Titans need, while also helping them in the long run.

Between pick 23 (Patriots) and 29, there is a gauntlet that EDGEs and CBs have to go through to land with Tennessee. More often than not the ideal players don’t make it. However, the Patriots picking an EDGE has unintended consequences in the form of Jordan Love.

With Love falling it usually puts him right in the lap of the Tennessee Titans and that means that they are in a prime position to trade down and accumulate assets.

Whether that means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, or Miami Dolphins, the Titans have plenty of options to trade back for people looking for their QB of the future.

In the most recent simulation where this happened, the Titans traded down with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and ended up with a 2nd round, 3rd round, and 5th round pick.

Which turned into a draft class with: Damon Arnette, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Isaiah Wilson, and James Lynch.

If you can get two starters, a back up/co-starter at running back, and a future starter at offensive tackle, all in one pick then I consider that a win.
