Philadelphia Eagles

Position taken: EDGE or CB

Sometimes everything just goes wrong in a mock draft, and when that happens to the Tennessee Titans it can usually be traced back to one of two teams.

First was the Vikings and their dual first round picks which could see them draft a cornerback or wide receiver (which has a trickle down effect). The second linchpin is the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles collect EDGEs like people used to collect Pokemon cards. Every year it seems like Philly is either trading for one or drafting one pretty high up the draft. So, it shouldn’t shock me when I see A.J. Epenesa or Yetur Gross-Matos come off the board at 21 for Philly.

While EDGE isn’t a position of need, it is clearly a position that the Eagles feel strongly about keeping well stocked. Cornerback is a different story because the Eagles constantly seem to be looking for a corner but never actually landing one that helps them out.

The Eagles seem to be responsible for a lot of issues with Titans mock drafts either directly or indirectly and if Tennessee wants to make sure they get their guy at either CB or EDGE, the would need some luck and to potentially trade and get in front of Philly on draft day.
