Linebacker

The Titans defense might be best equipped at linebacker along the defense. The duo of Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans may be the best young linebacker duo in the league. Brown has been a revelation for the team, breaking onto the scene in the 2018 season. Brown supplanted incumbent starter Wesley Woodyard last season and was terrific.

Evans had an up and down rookie year but really broke through last year. Evans greatly improved his pass coverage and run stopping, which was never more present than in the goal line stand against the Patriots in the AFC Wild Card round.

The Titans need some depth at the position who can step in for Brown and Evans in case of injury and fatigue. David Long saw some snaps in the playoffs and might be able to build on his experience but the Titans need to add some more experience at the position. Mark Barron from the Pittsburgh Steelers might be worth a shot.

Barron, at the age of 30, has been around the league with three different teams. He spent last season with the Steelers and started nine games. While Barron is not a starter, he would give the Titans a solid backup cover linebacker. If the Titans can bring in Barron on a small veteran contract, he would be worth the money.
