Titans would you rather: Jadeveon Clowney or Logan Ryan and Derek Wolfe

What does it all come down to?

After looking around, Logan Ryan seems to want at least $10 million per year while Wolfe is only valued at around $4.5 million per year based off of last year’s tape (according to Overthecap).

So at the same cost, what is the argument for both in a nutshell?

The real key to all of this isn’t even the players filling the holes. If Logan Ryan and Derek Wolfe only preform to the standard league average, then this would still be important because now you can head into the 2020 NFL Draft without a massive hole at cornerback.

That freedom in the first round is what allowed the Titans to take Jeffery Simmons instead of Montez Sweat. I’m not saying anything bad about Sweat, but I am saying that Simmons looks like he is going to be great.

On the other hand, it is always easy to argue to take an EDGE who can be great because if you can get great EDGE play then it makes every single aspect of your team better.

So, at the end of the day the question is would you rather pigeonhole yourself into drafting a cornerback in the first round but at an elite talent (option A)?

OR

Would you rather have two good-above average players and have the freedom to take BPA in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft?

I truly don’t know which I would rather have and both would seem like a win on paper considering what they would give the Titans in 2020. Now, are they clearly better or worse than they were in 2019? Only time will tell.
