Carolina Panthers

Teddy Bridgewater is a solid quarterback, but I don’t think that he is the future of an NFL franchise and neither did the three other teams that let him walk or traded him in the past.

They have a bunch of other guys at the QB position and while Matt Rhule is figuring out how to be an NFL coach in 2020, he should push for a trade back that adds more picks in the future when he can better assess his teams needs.

And before you say that Rhule isn’t the GM, go back and look at the staggering contract that the Panthers gave him and tell me that the owner is going to say no to him in year 1. They are still in the honeymoon phase and after giving up on Trai Turner, you can expect that they aren’t playing to win any trophies in 2019.

So, with all eyes on the future maybe too many analysts are thinking about a potential trade up for someone like Justin Herbert when they could be looking at a trade down to land someone like Jordan Love who needs time to develop and an offensive coach who knows how to bend a playbook to fit a QB’s strengths.
