2. Frank Clark

The Kansas City Chiefs made a bold move going after Frank Clark right before the 2019 NFL Draft.

Even if you liked what you saw on film, Kansas City was giving up a top-60 pick for the opportunity to pay Frank Clark like one of the best free agents in the NFL despite his off the field issues in the past.

It paid off for them and if you noticed during the playoff run Clark finally hit his stride going from just under 0.6 sacks per game in the regular season to 1.7 sacks per game in the playoffs which is 300% as productive.

After a tight win in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers and in three straight playoff games where they had to come from behind to win, it isn’t a stretch to say that while Clark has some clear deficiencies, his ability to get to the quarterback was massive.

Now this is the only real “big” trade on this list because they just aren’t all that common, you generally need to have one team willing to make a move and the money to make whatever deal you agree to, work.

Luckily, as the Titans stand right now they have plenty of money and they are going to try to make improve like the Kansas City Chiefs did last year so that they can make a Super Bowl run.
