Austin MacGinnis, K

Age when the league starts: 25

Stats of note: Former XFL and AAF star who never missed in the XFL.

Matthew McCrane, K

Age when the league starts: 26

Stats of note: Has NFL experience and finally hit some 50+ yard kicks

The moment you have all been waiting for, the kickers!

It feels like MacGinnis has the potentially to be a good kicker in the NFL and if you don’t believe me, just look at how much he dominated in the AAF and the XFL.

He was as perfect as you could be after making all 10 of his field goals, but what really should get Titans fans interested is that he is a great kickoff man.

According to Jordan Heck, MacGinnis actually led the XFL in touchbacks and kickoff average.

Then you have McCrane, whose biggest issue in the NFL seemed to be that he couldn’t make longer field goals. Well, apparently that isn’t an issue anymore since he went 2-2 from 50+ in the XFL.

While it isn’t incredibly exciting to think about landing a new kicker, you know who else thought that when they signed a kicker from another football league? The New England Patriots when they signed Adam Vinatieri.

I’m not suggesting that either of these guys will have a Vinatieri-like career. What I am saying is that great kickers can come from anywhere and when it clicks for them, it no longer matters what league they are kicking in because it is just about getting the ball through the uprights.

I would love to see the Titans bring in some competition at kicker and either of these guys would be nice to see.
