Deatrick Nichols, CB

Age when the league starts: 26

Stats of note: XFL’s interceptions leader with 3

The former USF cornerback has always been one of most productive players at his position, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see that he led the XFL in interceptions.

You could argue that some of his plays are the result of being in the right place at the right time, the fact is that it takes an incredible reaction time to be able to make plays off of deflections and no one should ever be diminished for being in the “right place” right?

Going back to college, the career that Nichols had at USF put him and kept him in the top-10 for interceptions, pass deflections and forced fumbles regardless of position.

Not only was he incredibly productive, but aside from his height he was one of the most athletic CBs in his draft class.

So, if the Titans want an athletic cornerback with great production, why not sign Nichols and see if he can help solve the issue in the slot going forward.
