Round 1: Ezra Cleveland OT, Boise State

It feels like a year ago with everything that has going on, but a little less than a month ago I wrote about why Ezra Cleveland should appeal to the Tennessee Titans if they lost Jack Conklin to free agency.

In that article I described how Cleveland is a high ceiling player, but also a high floor player due to his exceptional athleticism and experience at the college level.

While it isn’t an exciting pick, Cleveland is a perfect fit for what the Titans want to do on offense with their ZBS attack. His length and quickness give him an advantage that even Jack Conklin didn’t have in that part of the game, though he isn’t going to be the same level of mauler that Conklin was.

We are learning that even bad offensive linemen get around $10 million AAV in free agency, so why not jump out in front of that and get younger and more athletic in case you decide that Dennis Kelly isn’t a starting caliber tackle in the NFL?
