5. Dante Fowler, EDGE

Forget everything you know about Dante Fowler the former Jacksonville Jaguars 1st round pick. Instead, take a look at Dante Fowler the Los Angeles Rams star pass rusher.

After being traded last year, Fowler played his first full season with the Rams in 2019 and played like his hair was on fire racking up 11.5 sacks and 16 TFLs.

While some EDGEs pile up clean up stats, Fowler was the engine that made that pass rush effective on the rare plays where Aaron Donald wasn’t destroying the rest of the offensive line as soon as the ball was snapped.

If you are looking for a comp, he reminds me a lot of Brian Orakpo early in his career with the Titans where he thrived attacking the outside shoulder of the tackle but his power and ability to run through blocks put him in position to make effort plays as well.

For a Titans team that needs to find someone opposite Harold Landry, if you have to choose between making Dante Fowler one of the better paid EDGEs in the league and drafting an EDGE in the first round, I lean towards paying for the 26 year old standout.

Plus, it would make me happy to see him get revenge on Jacksonville for wasting some of his prime years.
