Possible extensions

The Tennessee Titans have to make some pretty important decisions next offseason. After 2020, they are going to have to decide how much they like the 2017 NFL Draft class.

I bring that up because Corey Davis, Adoree Jackson, Jonnu Smith and Jayon Brown will all be free agents.

Now, the Titans can pick up the 5th year option on Davis or Jackson, but even if they do that is going to be a lot of money to commit to those players.

Like we see every year, it may be a good idea to try to get a deal done now if at all possible.

In some extensions, we have seen players add years on to their deals rather than completely scrapping their current contracts. So, why not make some offers to the younger guys on the roster that you can see with the team for a long time?

For example, the Titans could add some time on to Adoree Jackson’s deal and keep him on the roster without his 5th year options. That would save them some guaranteed money and it assures him a long-term future in Tennessee.

While this won’t necessarily help out this offseason, this is a list of moves that might come next and if I was Jon Robinson I would be calling every agent and trying to see if I can agree to a deal before free agency pushes all those contracts up a level.
