Some potential value picks.

The Tennessee Titans weren’t afraid to add a player from Charlotte at a position of need last year which is good news. It turns out that there is another player from Charlotte who should garner their attention in the top-100 picks.

As you can tell from the highlighted names, there are going to be some value picks in this draft at EDGE who hold up really well to other safe picks throughout drafts.

Using this filter you can see why guys like Bradley Chubb and Ryan Kerrigan were drafted so high and why players like Justin Houston and Maxx Crosby were steals in their draft classes.

Looking at all that, potential first round pick Zack Baun from Wisconsin should probably be considered a candidate for the 29th pick in the draft if not sooner.

With his athleticism and versatility, you can see how he could fit into a scheme like what the Titans ran last year where EDGE frequently drop back and play true off-ball linebacker roles one play and then go down to their normal spot the next.

Another player who hit those impressive thresholds was Alton Robinson who is likely a Day 3 pick at this point based off of all the buzz and hype surrounding other prospects.

After a down year, it will be interesting to see if he is available later in the draft as a great value pick in the 5th.

Finally, I wanted to focus on Alex Highsmith from Charlotte.

Last year he had the classic “calm before the storm” type of season where he was incredibly productive in TFLs but the sacks weren’t there yet.

In 2019 his TFL production got even better as he led his conference and was 2nd in the NCAA with 21.5 TFLs, but the sacks came this year with 15 this year which led the conference and was 3rd in the NCAA.

The Tennessee Titans would seemingly have scouts that they trust covering that area and with a big prospect like this I have to wonder if they have been keeping an eye on him since 2018.

He didn’t make it to the Senior Bowl, but he did play in the Shrine Game and I wonder if there was any contact by the Titans there.
