Which draft position groups hurt themselves at the 2020 NFL Combine.

The mantra we always hear is “build through the draft” and for the most part I agree, but what happens when the draft is weak at a position you need?

For instance, the Tennessee Titans will probably have a big board of needs that looks something like this heading into the legal tampering period:

1. RT

2. EDGE2

3. CB3

4. QB2

5. RB2

6. WR4

7. Pass rushing DT

But after the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, I think we can all agree that at least one of those positions had a massively underwhelming performance.

While athletic testing isn’t everything, it is a pretty big piece of the puzzle and if you are familiar with the work of draft analysts like Jim Cobern and Josh Norris then you know that there are thresholds that position groups need to hit to be taken seriously.

So, with that in mind and with the majority of the testing out of the way, these are the position groups that were hurt the most by the combine (which means these needs better be solved before the draft).
