Arizona Cardinals

Another team, another young quarterback who needs to be protected.

The Cardinals are a very interesting team because they could give up a 3rd round pick or better like everyone else, but what if they considered moving Patrick Peterson?

After a great career with Arizona, the Cardinals star has been connected to trade rumors for two years now and his contract and age aren’t helping things when you look at the timeline until this Cardinals team is ready to make a move.

The Titans need a cornerback this offseason to replace Logan Ryan and there is no long term risk in trading for Peterson because he is a free agent next year.

So, if you were Jon Robinson and you were ready to give Jack Conklin $13 million or more this season before his market got so popular, then giving that money to Peterson isn’t crazy.

With a move like that the Cardinals can end this drawn out break up that they have had coming for years and the Titans can get a cornerback who can shadow receivers and play anywhere they need him to.

If that doesn’t work out then a 3rd round pick makes sense too, but it isn’t as flashy and we never get to see real player-for-player trades anymore.

Potential trade: Patrick Peterson OR 3rd round, 72nd overall pick
