Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow is going to make up for a lot of sins in Cincinnati, but that offensive line is going to get any QB killed for at least a year.

Trading a Day 2 draft pick isn’t ideal, but there is a good chance that the Bengals can walk away from this draft with Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson and Jack Conklin if they are willing to move their third round pick.

This would give the Bengals a stellar group of receivers for Burrow to throw to while A.J. Green plays out the franchise tag. It also gives Burrow a WR2 that he has immediate confidence in and who has great athleticism to back up his great production.

With a rebuilding project like the Bengals have now, I think you need to focus heavily on one side of the ball and try to create some sort of identity immediately. Getting Conklin would give them a key piece in a division where getting after the quarterback is a calling card for most defenses.

Will they be the best team in the AFC North after a trade like this? No. But it will help the offense succeed and in a division with Lamar Jackson, you can’t try to shut him down you can only try to keep up with him or force him into bad situations by winning the shootout.

Potential trade offer: 3rd round, 65th overall pick
