Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are a team that isn’t being talked about enough as a suitor for Jack Conklin, but I think they are a great fit for what Miami needs.

I think the assumption is that Tua Tagovailoa is the favorite to be the Dolphins first round pick and they will likely have to trade up to do it. However, what happens next?

For me, the best offense for Tua is an offensive similar to what the Tennessee Titans ran last year, meaning a lot of ZBS and play action passes to keep pressure off of a rookie QB coming off of an injury.

If that is the case, then trading for Conklin gives you someone who has shown he can do that and you won’t lose a first round pick or have to make some dangerous assumptions about what a rookie tackle can do.

The Dolphins have more money to spend in free agency than anyone else and they are also absolutely stacked with picks this year and next year,  so why not make a deal on a known commodity instead of using those picks on players that you hope can one day be as good as Jack Conklin?

Potential offer: 3rd round, 70th overall pick
